Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like they’re in a fog?
I feel so blah.
Like I don’t know what I need to be doing.
I feel so tired. But it’s not from lack of sleep.
I just can’t figure it out.
I always thought if we didn’t have so many places to be; practices, school functions, church gatherings, parties, etc. that I would be more refreshed. Less tired.
But lately, every day seems like I’m under this heavy fog of not knowing what I’m supposed to be doing.
Then, at church yesterday, our pastor reminded us that when we don’t know what to do, keep looking to the Lord. 2 Chronicles 20:12 says, “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”
Lord, that’s my prayer today.
I don’t know what to do, but my eyes are on You.
I feel weak. But my eyes are on You.
I feel tired. But my eyes are on You.
I’m unsure of tomorrow and what it will look like. But my eyes are on You.
And while there are some unknowns today, there are things that I know to do. The Bible says, “Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.” Psalms 96:2 Psalm 104:33 says, “I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.”
Maybe the reason we can’t find fulfillment today is because we aren’t praising His name. We aren’t singing to God, the Giver of everything good.
God has a plan and a purpose for our lives.
Let’s fix our eyes on Him and give Him glory, honor and praise. Let’s find our joy in Him.
He will strengthen us and help us along the way.
