This Sunday, August 4th at 6:00 we are meeting at our church to divide into groups, and travel to different schools in the county to walk around the campus and pray for the upcoming school year.
The beginning of a new school year brings excitement, but it can also bring worry.
Worry over the safety of our kids.
Worry if they’ll make good friends.
Worry about how our kids will perform.
Worry about bullies.
Worry for teachers, wondering if they will truly be able to make a difference.
But we don’t have to be consumed with worry.
I’m so thankful for this time set aside to be able to go and give these worries to God.
God doesn’t want us to worry.
He says He will give us a peace that passes understanding if we will pray.
“Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God, and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6,7
If you have children getting ready to start school, why don’t you join us on Sunday? Wherever you live, join us.
If you are able, go to your child’s school, and walk around the building. Walk around the busses. And pray.
If you aren’t able to go, pray at home.
If we all join together in praying for this new school year, I believe it will make a huge difference.
Please share this with your friends and family. Get together with your church.
Set aside time to pray specifically for this school year, the students, teachers, and faculty.
“I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.” Psalm 17:6
