As I went through the carwash today, it reminded me of the last year…
As I sat alone in my car watching the spinning brushes and scrubbers come towards me, it felt familiar.
It reminded me of the feeling of knowing something was coming, yet not being able to do anything about it.
As the massive curtain of brushes encompassed my car, it was dark and smothering. Reminding me of the loneliness and fear that have had a hold on so many.
Then, the water poured down. Sheets of water. Reminding me of what has seemed like the wettest, gloomiest winter in a long time.
And as the conveyor pulled my car forward, it was a reminder that we must also keep trudging forward.
So we can come out on the other side of this.
Better than before.
And like today, we will see the sun again.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
