I’ve been struggling with knowing what is the “right” thing to do in a certain situation.
I truly want to do the right thing. I just honestly don’t know what that is.
I don’t want to have good intentions, but make the wrong choice.
After weighing all the facts in my head; after trying to argue all sides; after doing my best to figure things out with all of my wisdom (or lack thereof), I still don’t know what is the right thing to do.
Maybe you’re in a similar situation; wanting to do what is right; but not knowing which direction to go.
So what do we do?
We look to the One who is The Way and The Truth.
We humbly come, confessing to God that we don’t have all the answers. We pray that He will give us wisdom. We pray that He will help us do what’s right. We pray His will, not ours.
We remain steadfast when we can’t see clearly; knowing that God is directing our path.
And we trust His promises.
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. Psalm 25:9
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5
Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11
