Mammaw was the fastest potato peeler I’ve ever seen. I remember standing at her sink, watching her peel and cut a potato acting like it wasn’t hard to peel them that fast.
As I peeled my potatoes tonight, I thought of her.
That memory made my heart happy.
It reminds me we don’t know what little thing our children or grandchildren or family or friends will remember about us.
Our little, day-to-day things have significance. Even if we can’t see them now.
Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Your life is impacting the people around you. Either for the better or for the worse.
Think about the good memories you have, and let those memories encourage you to be present, be kind, be loving, and continue doing good to everyone God places in your life.
As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good. 2 Thessalonians 3:13
