Do you feel less than?
Not smart enough?
Not attractive enough?
Unworthy?
Unusable?
Paul had every reason to feel qualified, yet he says, “For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.” 1 Corinthians 1:17
It wasn’t about him.
And it’s not about us.
Paul says again, “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
When we make excuses that we aren’t good enough, it’s because we are relying on our own strength.
But God wants us to rely on Him.
And His power.
To accomplish His purpose.
All we need to be used by God is a cleansing of our hearts, and a willingness to be used.
For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. 2 Corinthians 8:12
Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. 2 Timothy 2:21
Rely on His power.
Come to Him with a clean, willing heart, and He will us you to accomplish His purpose.
