Please don’t follow your heart.
Marriages and families are torn apart because people follow their hearts.
People miss out on God’s blessings because they follow their hearts.
Don’t follow your heart.
Follow God’s voice.
These two are not the same.
The Bible says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9
Our hearts can want things that are not in the will of God.
The Bible even warns us to not let our hearts do certain things.
In Proverbs 7:25 it says, “Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, Do not stray into her paths;” Proverbs 7:25
Don’t let your heart lead you on a path that isn’t meant for you.
Instead, seek God.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
