God is in the everyday activities of your life. Don’t wait for a public stage to do His will. Don’t wait and hope for God to reveal something, that in your eyes, would be a huge success. Stop waiting for a sign or revelation. Use the ordinary, daily moments to be obedient to God.
The world measures success by crowds, “likes”, popularity, and money. The world measures success by what it can see from the outside. No matter where you are right now, you can start doing God’s will for your life!
Proverbs 15:23 says, “A person finds joy in giving an apt reply – and how good is a timely word!”
Simply taking the time to send a text, write a note, or make a phone call to someone can be a part of God’s plan for your life. You don’t have to have money to give to others. You can give yourself. God’s will is for us to refresh others; to speak gently; to be patient and kind; to think of others and to pray for them often.
Not only will you be doing God’s will, you will also find joy when you encourage others. Are you tired? Are you broken? Are you worried? When we sacrifice ourselves for others through prayer and encouragement, we will be refreshed. “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25
People appreciate your prayers and kind words. Knowing that you’re doing God’s will, and the gratitude expressed by those you’ve encouraged will give you a joy in your heart. This joy comes from God. Don’t wait another day. Don’t make excuses. Don’t wait for the perfect time. Just start seeking God’s plan for you in your everyday moments today. When you do this you will receive the strength and joy that God wants to give you.
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
