God’s Plan For Your Life Starts Today

The day has just begun, but you’re already tired.

Your mind races as you think about all the things you have to do today.

Maybe you’re stressed over decisions that need to be made.

Maybe you’re exhausted from your kids needing every ounce of you.

Maybe you have so much work to do, and feel like you can never catch up.

Maybe, in the busyness, you hear, read, or think about Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

This truth can seem out of reach in the midst of our schedules, raising families, and just the day-to-day duties that life brings.

We tend to think that someday, when we’re less busy, when we have more time, we will be able to see and do God’s plan for our lives.

But the truth is, He wants us to start doing  His plan TODAY.

We all have the same amount of time.

He knows we are busy.

He knows we aren’t just busy with unimportant things. He knows we are busy raising children, working hard, etc.

But He wants us to meet Him in these moments.

Seek Him in these moments.

Listen for Him in these moments.

Do what He whispers for you to do in these moments.

It’s the moments of your normal, routine, ordinary day that He wants to use to fulfill His purpose and His plan for your life.

I think we often wait for some “big moment” to see God show up in our lives.

But God uses little things; things that we may never know the significance of this side of heaven, to make an eternal difference.

We don’t have to see the plan.

We just have to trust the One who made it.

“May the God of peace equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him…” Hebrews 13:20,21
