I went to visit my Pappaw yesterday, and the kids were playing ball in the grass.
They were laughing and having a good time and it made me think about my Mammaw.
She LOVED to watch them play. It brought her so much joy.
And in my mind I thought, “Mammaw sure would love to be here spending time with them and watching them play.”
But before my mind could even completely think this sentence, I knew it wasn’t true.
She wouldn’t want to be back here.
She would never choose here over Heaven. Not even to spend time with her grandchildren.
Doesn’t that put into perspective how magnificent Heaven must be?
We can’t even imagine it.
We can’t imagine anything better than being with those we love.
But I know where she is, and she is completely happy. There are no tears in Heaven.
In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
We can’t even comprehend it.
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! Romans 11:33
But we trust and believe that after we’ve finished our time here on earth- when we get to Heaven it will all make sense.
And it will be better than anything we could possibly imagine.
