When you are seeking out God’s will and purpose for your life, you will have enemies.
The devil is threatened by those who have surrendered their lives to God.
He will use whatever he can to keep you from seeking the Lord.
This is happening today, but it’s nothing new.
When God placed it in Nehemiah’s heart to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, people made up lies about him and wanted to kill him.
Look at what Nehemiah said to the people telling lies about him in, “No such things as you say are being done, but you invent them in your own heart.” Nehemiah 6:8
Isn’t that what’s going on today?
People make up their own truths…they invent them in their own hearts.
As long as we’re in the world, we will be fighting against the schemes of the devil.
But we can learn from Nehemiah, and pray the same, powerful prayer Nehemiah prayed: “Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.” Nehemiah 6:9
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” 1 John 5:14-15
