The Control You Thought You Had…You Didn’t

We feel like we’ve lost control of our lives.

We fear what’s ahead.

We fear the unknown.

But in reality, God who was our Creator a few weeks ago, is still our Creator today.

In reality, you had no more control over your life a few weeks ago than you do today.

God still has a plan

He isn’t worried.

He isn’t afraid.

You weren’t promised another day before this epidemic and you aren’t promised another day when it’s over.

Three verses have continually been on my mind.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew‬ ‭6:34‬

God didn’t create us to worry. He wants us to look to Him for peace over worry.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭

If we are living for Christ and pursuing a relationship with Him, He will help us no matter our circumstances. He can and He will work things for good to those who love Him.

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21

We should strive to be able to say this and mean it.

When we truly use the life He has given us to glorify Him, our focus won’t be on earthly things.

No, I don’t want to die tomorrow, but I know that if God wills it, I will be in a place so wonderful, it can’t even be put into words.

As the old song “What A Day That Will Be” goes:

There’ll be no sorrow there,

No more burdens to bear,

No more sickness, no pain,

No more parting over there;

And forever I will be,

With the One who died for me,

What a day, glorious day that will be.

I encourage you today, remember who created you. Remember why you’re here. Remember who is in control. Remember who gives you peace.

Remember, God has a plan for you, and nothing can stop it.

Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.‭‭ Psalms‬ ‭115:3
