I want the gracious hand of God on me.
Don’t you?
I’ve been reading through Ezra and Nehemiah, and over and over, statements like, “The gracious hand of our God was on us” or “the gracious hand of God had been on me” are common phrases.
And I read that… and think how much I want God’s hand on me.
On my family.
On my health.
On my decisions.
On my job.
On every aspect of my life.
I read it with just a hint of envy that the gracious hand of God was on these people.
Not fully grasping that His gracious hand can be on me too.
Ezra 8:22 says, “The gracious hand of our God is on EVERYONE who looks to Him…”
Look to Him.
That’s what I want to do.
Pray to Him.
Read His words.
Looking forward to His promises that await us.
And while I wait, His gracious hand will be on me.
