Wouldn’t it have been amazing to be a disciple and walk with Jesus?
They were with Him every day.
Watching and learning.
Listening.
Yet, they still had to learn to follow Him.
They probably still had their own ideas of what they should do and how they should do it. So they still had to learn that they must trust Him for what was best.
Even if it didn’t make sense.
It’s amazing to think about being able to embrace Jesus, the Savior of the world.
To look at Him face to face.
To laugh and talk with Him.
We can’t physically see Him.
But just like the disciples had to have faith to follow Him and trust He knew what was best, we must also.
He promises us that if we trust Him with all of our hearts, and if we don’t rely on our own understanding that He will direct our paths.
Isn’t that what we want?
To follow the paths that He has planned for our lives?
He doesn’t have to physically be here with us for us to follow Him.
Thankfully He gives us the Holy Spirit to help us.
Jesus says that the Holy Spirit “will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” John 14:26
The Spirit also helps us in our weakness. Romans 8:26
The Spirit gives us wisdom from God not human wisdom. The Spirit helps us to understand spiritual truths. 1 Corinthians 2:13
When we have the Spirit of God we have power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Yes, it would’ve been amazing to physically walk beside Jesus, but thankfully He made a way for us to walk with Him.
And He tells us that we will find Him when we seek Him with all of our hearts.
