In the first Chapter of John,
John’s disciples asked Jesus
where he was staying,
and Jesus said, “Come and see.”
Then, Jesus’ disciple Philip
went and found his friend Nathanael
and told him about Jesus.
When he was skeptical,
Philip’s reply was, “Come and see.”
The Lesson:
If you are seeking Christ, His response is “Come.” “Come and see.”
And once we know Him, we should be telling everyone, “Come and see!”
Maybe you’re skeptical…
Maybe you’ve been hurt by people claiming to follow Jesus…
Maybe you’ve bought into other ideas, but you’ve not found fulfillment…
Maybe you simply don’t believe.
If this is you, come and see!
“Come near to God and he will come near to you.” James 4:8
Come and see if you won’t find Him when you look for Him.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13
Come and see if you don’t find peace.
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3
Come and see if you don’t find rest.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Come and see if you don’t find peace.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
Come and see if you don’t find a love like you’ve never know.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
