What if we prayed for each other’s marriage?
What if we realized that the devil is attacking us by attacking the very thing that God created?
Mark 10:6-9 says, “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘FOR THIS REASON a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
The devil knows that we are stronger together.
He knows that God created the bond of marriage; therefore, he wants to destroy it.
Ecclesiastes 4 says, “Two are better than one” and “if either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”
It’s becoming more and more common to hear of marriages ending; even after many years together.
The world is shouting “Do what makes YOU happy!”
“The devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
Friends and family are hurting over unfaithfulness; children who have went down the wrong path; addiction; financial trouble; depression; and so many other things.
And the devil wants us to give up.
Maybe it’s time we stand in the gap for our friends and family.
God tells us that we must put on the full armor of God if we want to stand against the devil’s schemes. Ephesians 6:11
He tells us to pray in the Spirit on ALL occasions with ALL kinds of prayers.
Let’s pray for our marriage.
Let’s pray for our friends’ and families’ marriages.
The devil wants us to give up. He wants us to be divided. He wants us to make excuses.
And he will use anything and everything to try to destroy what God has created.
