Help When You’re Hurting

love the only thing help when you're hurting found in Jesus

Do you ever have days where your thoughts are consumed with your family and friends, and what they’re going through?

This life is tough sometimes…

It seems like so many of my friends and family are hurting.

Friends who just lost a parent;

Friends transitioning between jobs;

Friends with sick kids;

Friends and family with loved ones in the hospital;

Friends who recently lost their spouse;

Friends and family overwhelmed with anxiety;

Friends and family who are exhausted.

Can you relate?

I think we are all going through a hard time.

And it makes me wonder:

When you lose a parent, where do you find strength to carry on, if not in Jesus?

When your job situation is uncertain, where do you find wisdom, if not in Jesus?

When your kids are sick, how can you find help, if not in Jesus?

When you have loved ones in the hospital, how do you have hope, if not in Jesus?

When you lose your spouse, how do you move forward, if not in Jesus?

When it feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, and you don’t have the energy to move, how do you calm your heart and mind, and keep going if not in Jesus?

No one is exempt from these earthly struggles.

But the one who has Jesus, has a Helper. 1 John 2:1

He is near to the broken-hearted. Psalm 34:18

He is clarity when we need it. James 1:5

He is in control of every moment. Proverbs 19:21

In Him we can have peace in the midst of pain. 2 Thessalonians 3:16

He is hope when it seems like all hope is lost. Romans 15:13

He will carry our burdens, and give us rest, if we let Him. Matthew 11:28-30

I have trials. But I have Jesus.

Do you?

If not, why keep trying to make it on your own?

He loves you already. But He wants a personal relationship with you.

“I have told you these things, so that you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
