The Devil Whispers

The devil whispers:

“Remember what they did to you.”

“Remember how bad it hurts.”

“Remember how they lied.”

“Remember how they destroyed.”

“Remember you’re stressed.”

“Remember you’re scared.”

“Remember you’re tired.”

“Remember you’re depressed.”

“Remember it’s hopeless.”

Resist him.

He not only wants you to remember, but he wants your mind to be consumed with these thoughts.

Resist him.

The Bible says, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”‭‭. 1 Peter‬ ‭5:8-9‬ ‭

Friends, the devil wants you to be overwhelmed with negative thoughts and emotions.

When these thoughts enter your mind, let God whisper:

“Remember, no one is righteous, not even one.” Romans 3:10

“Remember I heal the broken-hearted and bind up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

“Remember all have sinned.” Romans 3:23

“Remember I will restore you.” 1 Peter 5:10

“Remember you don’t have to be anxious about anything, but pray about everything with thanksgiving, and I will give you peace that passes understanding.” Philippians 4:6,7

“Remember you don’t have to be afraid for I am with you.” Isaiah 41:10

“Remember to come to me when you are tired, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

“Remember when you are sad, look up. I will help you.” Psalm 121:1

“Remember nothing is impossible with Me.” Luke 1:37

Don’t hold on to negative thoughts. Surrender them to God.

Let His promises wash over you so that you can be free.
